God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit are One. All who make Jesus the LORD of their lives are in Him, and He in them. We are one in Him — one spirit and one family (1 Corinthians 6:17; 2 Corinthians 6:18). When we walk in love toward one another, the world can see there is something different about us. So many have wondered about how God could ever unify the Body of Christ today because we seem so fragmented and have so many problems. John 17:22 says the glory the Father gave Jesus, He gave us so we could be one. When the glory of the LORD is manifested, it brings us together.
Every true revival in recorded history broke through racism and doctrinal divides. When the miracle power of God is flowing and His glory fills an area, all the divisions come tumbling down because they are things of the flesh.
When the glory manifests, the Spirit of God is in control, and the things of earth and of the flesh begin to “grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace.”
All who believe in Jesus have come to faith in Him, directly or indirectly, through the men who were seated at that covenant meal. And in John 17:20-26 we can see that Jesus looked down through the centuries and saw us. He prayed for everyone of us who would believe in Him. He prayed for you that day.
Hebrews 7:25 says, “He is able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, because He at all times lives to make intercession for them.” According to this verse Jesus is still praying for you. Believe the love He has for you (1 John 4:16)!
Without this God kind of faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6). When Peter was walking on the water as he saw Jesus do, Jesus didn’t rebuke him for his desire to do it. He rebuked him for his lack of faith to continue. Peter knew the power of Jesus’ words (John 6:63) and had asked him to “Bid me to come” (Matthew 14:28). On the strength of Jesus’ word “Come”, Peter stepped out of the boat in faith and did something outside the realm of the natural: “he walked on the water to go to Jesus” (verse 29). Jesus was only displeased when Peter gave into doubt in the face of the natural circumstances of the wind and waves (verses 30-31).
Jesus is looking for the same kind of faith in us that would dare to step out to heal the sick, raise the dead, and more. God has given us His WORD, His spirit, His name, and His weapons to stay in faith and do the exploit for His kingdom. Daniel 11:32 says, “But the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits” (KJV).
The blood of Jesus calls to the believer to come up to a higher awareness of his or her rightful position at the very throne of God and to begin praying from a position of authority in Him that is above the circumstances of this world — not beneath. The blood declares qualification and consecration of the believer as a son or daughter of Almighty God. It proclaims believers to be co-labors in the earth, ambassadors sent forth to powerfully tell the good news from the top of the world to the bottom and all the way around, that Jesus saves, Jesus heals, and Jesus baptizes in the holy Spirit!
Our victory depends on faith in Jesus’ blood. We overcome the wicked one by “the blood of the Lamb and by the word of (our) testimony” (Revelation 12:11). The Apostle John wrote, “Whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith” (1 John 5:4 KJV).
Faith in what? Faith in the covenant blood that gives the “authority [power] to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. And nothing shall by any means hurt you” (Luke 19:10).
All of heaven backs faith in the blood of Jesus. For it was by His own blood that Jesus cleansed the mercy seat in heaven of the disastrous effects of Adam’s treason (Hebrews 9:23-36) and cancelled the handwriting of the ordinances [the judgements] that were against us (Colossians 2:14). And it is by faith in the shed blood of Jesus we are forever justified — made righteous and holy by the everlasting blood of the covenant that cries out for mercy!
Faith also has to be developed. The same scripture says we are to be sound in faith. Patience and faith work together the way faith and love work together. Each force plays a unique role for victory in our Christian lives.
Faith is not developed through trials and tribulations. Romans 10:17 says, “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.” Trails and tribulations develop patience. We have already learned from James 1 that this is true. The Apostle Paul says the same thing in Romans 5:3. Faith is developed as we believe and act on The WORD of God (James 2:14-26). Hebrews 12:2 states that Jesus is the Author and Finisher, or Developer of our faith, not the devil.
Faith should be developed on The WORD of God before trials and tribulations come against us. Jesus spoke of this in Luke 6:47-48. He said a man who believes and acts on His words is like someone who builds his house on a rock. Then, when the floods arise and the streams beat on that house, it does not fall. Notice, the man Jesus spoke of had to dig deep. This is where his faith was developed. His patience was developed during this storm. He was confident his house would stand because it was built on rock. The man believed and acted on The WORD. His faith was developed before the trial came.
Are you tolerating sickness, pain or disease in your life? Enough is enough! Discover these 5 ways to receive your healing through the anointing today!
If you’ve ever attempted to solve a Rubik’s Cube™, you know this: Once it gets jumbled around, it seems nearly impossible to solve! There are a million different possible combinations, requiring the turning of each section at the perfect time and in the perfect way. Most people give up after a few fruitless attempts, leaving such a feat to those who have the desire and patience to conquer the colorful puzzle.
The devil has made a lot of believers feel just the same. He’s jumbled around the idea of healing in our minds until it looks unsolvable—unattainable. He’s tried to convince us that, just like that troublesome little cube, only a select few can figure it out. Here’s the issue—the devil is a liar. If he’s telling you something is complicated, one thing is certain—it isn’t.
You can access every part of the healing anointing in your life. You can be healed—completely. Begin expecting healing today by learning more about these five ways to receive your healing through the anointing.
1. Receive Your Healing by Becoming Manifest-Minded
“He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted.” –Job 5:9 (NIV)
The first way to receive your healing through the anointing is to become manifest-minded.
God is a good, loving and compassionate God. He provided for your healing when Jesus went to the cross. In fact, medical science has grouped all sickness and disease into 39 categories, and Jesus took 39 stripes for our healing! God certainly didn’t sacrifice His only Son so only a few could figure out how to receive what He provided in doing that.
Healing is part of your Calvary benefit package. Healing minister Billy Burke says, “God doesn’t heal you because you’re good; He heals you because He’s good.”
It’s time to lay hold of the idea that healing is for you, not just for a select few. And it’s time to shake off any of your own ideas about how God is going to manifest your healing. God is not a one-string guitar. He heals in many different ways through the healing anointing.
What is the purpose of the anointing? To set people free. If you’ve ever had any kind of pain or sickness, you know it holds your body captive. It keeps you from enjoying life to the fullest.
As Billy Burke says, “It’s time to get manifest-minded.” Don’t allow yourself to get so comfortable with something that you don’t think it can go away in a moment. Don’t get used to diabetes, pain medication, neck braces. Don’t be satisfied with being a spectator of other people’s healing. Miracles are real.
The Name of the Lord is a high tower, and the righteous run to it. Stop hesitating. Run to the healing anointing, the healing power of God. Move toward Him, and allow Him to heal you. Say in faith, “If anyone is going to be healed, it’s going to be me.”
Receiving from God is easy. It’s just a matter of removing what’s keeping you from receiving. Learn how God’s love makes all the difference in this CD series, only $12. Offer good June 9-15, 2019.
2. Receive Your Healing Through a Minister’s Anointing
“And the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil.” –Isaiah 10:27 (NKJV)
Just as there is an anointing to teach or preach, there is an anointing to heal. There is an anointing within every believer to lay hands on the sick (we’ll talk more about that later), but there is also a special anointing that God places upon certain people to minister through the healing anointing.
How can you receive healing through a minister’s anointing? Just like any other blessing or promise—by faith. Quite often, the reason healings occur through a minister’s anointing is because people hear the truth about healing in God’s Word presented to them in a fresh, new way—allowing them to build faith to receive their healing.
Kenneth Hagin, a powerful healing minister, said this about receiving healing through a minister’s anointing: “The anointing oil, the minister’s prayer and the laying on of hands are simply methods, or points of contact. In themselves, they do not heal. They are avenues through which we can release our faith in God’s Word.”
In other words, healing can come through an anointed minister, but this is primarily used to gain the attention of unbelievers. As Gloria Copeland says, “Healing is the dinner bell for the unbeliever.” As believers, we are called to receive healing by releasing our faith. So, when you attend a healing meeting, go expecting to receive. Allow the words and actions of the healing minister to build your faith to the point of receiving your healing right in your own chair.
3. Receive Your Healing Through the Anointed Word of God
“As you have believed so let it be done for you.” –Matthew 8:13 (NKJV)
There are hints all through the New Testament of prerequisites for healing. One of them is that hearing comes before healing. Hearing what? Hearing the Word of God. In Mark 5:27, we read about the woman with the issue of blood. When did she receive her healing? “When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment” (NKJV). In Luke 10:17, “great multitudes…came together to hear, and to be healed” (NKJV).
Faith comes by hearing (Romans 10:17). One way to receive the healing anointing in your own life is to hear what the Word of God says about it. Read about the love of God, read about the compassion of Jesus, and read about the healings of Jesus. Read about His goodness. If you’re going to listen to what men say about your healing rather than what God says, you’re going to stay sick. If you’re going to listen to what traditions say about life and death rather than what the Word of God says, you’re going to stay in bondage. The traditions of men make the Word of God of no effect.
Gloria Copeland built her faith in this area by reading all four Gospels and the book of Acts three times in 30 days. Getting a concentrated dose of the Word, especially regarding healing and miracles, will build your faith to be healed. Another way to build your faith for healing is to listen to testimonies or faith-filled teaching on healing. Some powerful teachings include Healing School at the Southwest Believers’ Conventions, as well as Miracles on the Mountain healing services with Billy Burke.
As you build your faith, resist the temptation to look at how other healings have occurred. You have to yield to the way God’s doing it in you. Anywhere on the journey, He can step in.
Even if it seems delayed or your symptoms seem worse, put your feet firmly on the Word of God. Don’t move. Persevere. His healing power will come upon you. According to your faith, it will be done to you. Your faith will make you whole.
Billy Burke says, “Surrender to His will, but also surrender to His way.” If your healing comes in small increments, don’t let your faith fade. It might not be all the way, but it’s on the way. Stand your ground and stand on the Word.
Watch this powerful healing testimony and stir your faith to receive!
As you yield to God’s way of healing, tune in your heart to His instructions. He will help you remove hindrances to your healing. Do what He tells you to do! Is there guilt, unforgiveness, anger, bitterness or insecurity in your life? Repent. Make a change. Let God change your entire lifestyle and transform you. Say goodbye and turn your back on that place of sickness, sin, disease, fear, doubt, demonic activity, loss and lack. Get up and follow Jesus; then you’ll be able to lead others out of their problems, too.
Make God’s Word absolutely your final authority. If He says you’re healed, you are healed!
4. Receive Your Healing Through a Corporate Anointing
“And large crowds came to Him, bringing with them those who were lame, crippled, blind, mute, and many others, and they laid them down at His feet; and He healed them.” –Matthew 15:30 (NASB)
While a healing minister can lay hands on individuals in isolated settings, most often they minister healing in a corporate setting. Jesus did the same. There were times when Jesus’ healing Anointing flowed to individuals and other times when it flowed to a crowd. For example, in Matthew 14:36, a multitude came from far and wide to see Jesus, just to have the chance to touch His robe (His Anointing), “and all who touched Him were healed.”
What is different about a corporate anointing, versus the individual laying on of hands? God chooses to minister healing to people in a variety of ways. In a corporate setting, those whose faith is not fully developed in the area of healing can receive healing on the faith of others because of that atmosphere of faith. We see evidence of this in Matthew 15 when large crowds came to Jesus with their loved ones who needed healing. They believed what they had heard and were expecting to see miracles. Their faith gave Jesus’ Anointing room to work.
You see, when you believe for healing—not just for yourself, but for others—you set the table for healing with your faith. Corporate faith coming together creates a powerful atmosphere. Kenneth Hagin said this about coming together for healing: “The greatest anointing of all is the corporate anointing. I can be anointed to minister to the sick and lay hands on people, and a certain percentage of them will get healed through faith and the anointing. But the corporate anointing has a greater, more far-reaching effect.”
On the other hand, if a healing minister visits a church where the people are filled with doubt and unbelief, that anointing will be stifled. This was true in Jesus’ day, too. We know that there were times when Jesus could not heal due to the unbelief of the crowd (Matthew 13:58). He had faith, He was Anointed to heal, but unbelief stopped the flow of the healing anointing.
Just as the faith of a crowd can empower the healing anointing, unbelief can quench it. So when you attend a healing meeting, or when you’re just attending a church service, determine to show up filled with faith. Make a faith contribution to every atmosphere you’re part of, and perhaps your faith will be just what someone else needs to receive their healing.
Watch as Billy Burke ministers healing to a crowd of faith-filled believers.
5. Receive Your Healing by Ministering Healing to Others With the Anointing
“They will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” –Mark 16:18 (NKJV)
One of the most powerful ways to act on your faith for healing is to minister healing to others with the anointing. Some people have the gift of healing—a special anointing—but according to Mark 16:18, every believer has the power and authority to lay hands on the sick and see them recover.
Jesus will heal anything, anyone, anywhere, anytime, if someone will just exercise faith in God. Build your faith so that you will have boldness to lay hands on the sick. And don’t look for immediate results—stand firm in your faith. Healing always comes. Not everyone gets healed, because not everyone will receive it. But when you release your faith—the healing power of God is always released for the taking.
God is ready for unusual miracles, creative miracles, to be seen and believed. There’s nothing too hard for God—not even an incurable disease in its final stages (Luke 5:12-13). And know this: Standing and believing for the healing of others might just be the door that opens to your own healing.
God has given us so many ways to receive healing through the anointing when we allow ourselves to be manifest-minded—not just through healing ministers, but through His Word, through the power of gathering our faith together, and even by allowing us the honor and privilege of laying hands on others. Healing isn’t an impossible puzzle! So, whatever you do, don’t settle for anything less than divine health all your days. Not even the slightest headache should ever be tolerated in your life. Healing belongs to you!
Faith-filled words dominate the laws of sin and death and activate God’s covenant-enforcing angels. The angels of The Lord hear words spoken in faith and respond accordingly. Not only do they excel in strength but they also do His commandments. They do what God has told them to do, “obey [ing] the voice of His word” (Psalm 103:20).
When you confess and stand on God’s Word as final authority over every area of your life– spirit, soul, body, financially, and socially– it puts you in a place to receive. Jesus, the High Priest of your confession, sees to it that His angels go to work on your behalf, bringing your confession of faith to pass. Hebrews 1:14 (AMPCE) says of the angels of the Lord: “Are not the angels all ministering spirits (servants) sent out in the service [of God for assistance] of those who are to inherit salvation?”
Jesus compares the workings of the kingdom of God to planting seeds in the earth: “When the seed is sown,” He said, “it grows up….” Notice He didn’t say that it would occasionally grow up. Or it grows up if it’s God’s will. He said , “It grows up and becomes greater,” period.
God’s economy isn’t like our economy — up one day and down the other. It’s always the same and always works perfectly. If the requirements of good earth, good seed, and good water are met, there will always be growth. It’s inevitable.
So if you are facing a need, don’t panic. Plant a seed! The seed may take the form of money, time, or some other resource you have to give. But no matter what form it takes, make sure you put life in it by giving it in faith and surrounding it with praise and worship. Say, “Lord, as I bring you my goods, I bring myself. I give myself to You — spirit, soul, and body.”
The power to create comes from God’s inner being. His dynamic, living, self energizing, creative force of faith is released with His Words. In Genesis 1 alone, 10 times the Scriptures tell us “God said,” as He released His faith to create day and night, the firmament, dry land, plants and trees, the stars and planets, etc. Hebrews 11:3 says, “By faith we understand that the universe was framed by the Word of God, so that things that are seen were not made out of things which are visible.”
Man was created the same way, God formed him from the dust of the ground “and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living being” (Genesis 2:7). Notice, it says, “God said, ‘let us make man in our image, after our likeness…'” (Genesis 1:26). Just as He had spoken to create everything else, God spoke man into existence with His Words, essentially saying “Man, be in our image.” The “breath of life” was contained in the words spoken into Adam.
Jesus said, “It is the Spirit who gives life. The flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit and are life” (John 6:63). And Proverbs 4 says, “My son, attend to my words… for they are life to those who find out, and health to all their body (verses 20, 22).
