Heirs of God through Christ

Galatians 4:4-7
When the fullness of time came, Jesus, the Messiah, the Anointed One of God, was born of a woman into a flesh body as the Lamb of God (John 1:29) in a little town called Bethlehem–the House of Bread (Micah 5:2; Matthew 2:6; John 6:51). He was born under the Law, as the final sacrifice of the Abrahamic covenant. He ushered the way for all who would receive it, into the eternal new covenant that can never be broken, which is based on better promises (Hebrews 8:6), that was cut between the Father and Jesus. This new and everlasting covenant was ratified, not with the blood of bulls and of goats, but in the precious blood of the Lamb of God (Hebrews 9:12), slain from the foundation of the world (1 Peter 1:19-20; Revelation 13:8).
