Faith also has to be developed. The same scripture says we are to be sound in faith. Patience and faith work together the way faith and love work together. Each force plays a unique role for victory in our Christian lives.
Faith is not developed through trials and tribulations. Romans 10:17 says, “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.” Trails and tribulations develop patience. We have already learned from James 1 that this is true. The Apostle Paul says the same thing in Romans 5:3. Faith is developed as we believe and act on The WORD of God (James 2:14-26). Hebrews 12:2 states that Jesus is the Author and Finisher, or Developer of our faith, not the devil.
Faith should be developed on The WORD of God before trials and tribulations come against us. Jesus spoke of this in Luke 6:47-48. He said a man who believes and acts on His words is like someone who builds his house on a rock. Then, when the floods arise and the streams beat on that house, it does not fall. Notice, the man Jesus spoke of had to dig deep. This is where his faith was developed. His patience was developed during this storm. He was confident his house would stand because it was built on rock. The man believed and acted on The WORD. His faith was developed before the trial came.
5 Ways to Receive Your Healing Through the Anointing
Are you tolerating sickness, pain or disease in your life? Enough is enough! Discover these 5 ways to receive your healing through the anointing today!
If you’ve ever attempted to solve a Rubik’s Cube™, you know this: Once it gets jumbled around, it seems nearly impossible to solve! There are a million different possible combinations, requiring the turning of each section at the perfect time and in the perfect way. Most people give up after a few fruitless attempts, leaving such a feat to those who have the desire and patience to conquer the colorful puzzle.
The devil has made a lot of believers feel just the same. He’s jumbled around the idea of healing in our minds until it looks unsolvable—unattainable. He’s tried to convince us that, just like that troublesome little cube, only a select few can figure it out. Here’s the issue—the devil is a liar. If he’s telling you something is complicated, one thing is certain—it isn’t.
You can access every part of the healing anointing in your life. You can be healed—completely. Begin expecting healing today by learning more about these five ways to receive your healing through the anointing.
1. Receive Your Healing by Becoming Manifest-Minded
“He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted.” –Job 5:9 (NIV)
The first way to receive your healing through the anointing is to become manifest-minded.
God is a good, loving and compassionate God. He provided for your healing when Jesus went to the cross. In fact, medical science has grouped all sickness and disease into 39 categories, and Jesus took 39 stripes for our healing! God certainly didn’t sacrifice His only Son so only a few could figure out how to receive what He provided in doing that.
Healing is part of your Calvary benefit package. Healing minister Billy Burke says, “God doesn’t heal you because you’re good; He heals you because He’s good.”
It’s time to lay hold of the idea that healing is for you, not just for a select few. And it’s time to shake off any of your own ideas about how God is going to manifest your healing. God is not a one-string guitar. He heals in many different ways through the healing anointing.
What is the purpose of the anointing? To set people free. If you’ve ever had any kind of pain or sickness, you know it holds your body captive. It keeps you from enjoying life to the fullest.
As Billy Burke says, “It’s time to get manifest-minded.” Don’t allow yourself to get so comfortable with something that you don’t think it can go away in a moment. Don’t get used to diabetes, pain medication, neck braces. Don’t be satisfied with being a spectator of other people’s healing. Miracles are real.
The Name of the Lord is a high tower, and the righteous run to it. Stop hesitating. Run to the healing anointing, the healing power of God. Move toward Him, and allow Him to heal you. Say in faith, “If anyone is going to be healed, it’s going to be me.”
Receiving from God is easy. It’s just a matter of removing what’s keeping you from receiving. Learn how God’s love makes all the difference in this CD series, only $12. Offer good June 9-15, 2019.
2. Receive Your Healing Through a Minister’s Anointing
“And the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil.” –Isaiah 10:27 (NKJV)
Just as there is an anointing to teach or preach, there is an anointing to heal. There is an anointing within every believer to lay hands on the sick (we’ll talk more about that later), but there is also a special anointing that God places upon certain people to minister through the healing anointing.
How can you receive healing through a minister’s anointing? Just like any other blessing or promise—by faith. Quite often, the reason healings occur through a minister’s anointing is because people hear the truth about healing in God’s Word presented to them in a fresh, new way—allowing them to build faith to receive their healing.
Kenneth Hagin, a powerful healing minister, said this about receiving healing through a minister’s anointing: “The anointing oil, the minister’s prayer and the laying on of hands are simply methods, or points of contact. In themselves, they do not heal. They are avenues through which we can release our faith in God’s Word.”
In other words, healing can come through an anointed minister, but this is primarily used to gain the attention of unbelievers. As Gloria Copeland says, “Healing is the dinner bell for the unbeliever.” As believers, we are called to receive healing by releasing our faith. So, when you attend a healing meeting, go expecting to receive. Allow the words and actions of the healing minister to build your faith to the point of receiving your healing right in your own chair.
3. Receive Your Healing Through the Anointed Word of God
“As you have believed so let it be done for you.” –Matthew 8:13 (NKJV)
There are hints all through the New Testament of prerequisites for healing. One of them is that hearing comes before healing. Hearing what? Hearing the Word of God. In Mark 5:27, we read about the woman with the issue of blood. When did she receive her healing? “When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment” (NKJV). In Luke 10:17, “great multitudes…came together to hear, and to be healed” (NKJV).
Faith comes by hearing (Romans 10:17). One way to receive the healing anointing in your own life is to hear what the Word of God says about it. Read about the love of God, read about the compassion of Jesus, and read about the healings of Jesus. Read about His goodness. If you’re going to listen to what men say about your healing rather than what God says, you’re going to stay sick. If you’re going to listen to what traditions say about life and death rather than what the Word of God says, you’re going to stay in bondage. The traditions of men make the Word of God of no effect.
As you build your faith, resist the temptation to look at how other healings have occurred. You have to yield to the way God’s doing it in you. Anywhere on the journey, He can step in.
Even if it seems delayed or your symptoms seem worse, put your feet firmly on the Word of God. Don’t move. Persevere. His healing power will come upon you. According to your faith, it will be done to you. Your faith will make you whole.
Billy Burke says, “Surrender to His will, but also surrender to His way.” If your healing comes in small increments, don’t let your faith fade. It might not be all the way, but it’s on the way. Stand your ground and stand on the Word.
Watch this powerful healing testimony and stir your faith to receive!
As you yield to God’s way of healing, tune in your heart to His instructions. He will help you remove hindrances to your healing. Do what He tells you to do! Is there guilt, unforgiveness, anger, bitterness or insecurity in your life? Repent. Make a change. Let God change your entire lifestyle and transform you. Say goodbye and turn your back on that place of sickness, sin, disease, fear, doubt, demonic activity, loss and lack. Get up and follow Jesus; then you’ll be able to lead others out of their problems, too.
Make God’s Word absolutely your final authority. If He says you’re healed, you are healed!
4. Receive Your Healing Through a Corporate Anointing
“And large crowds came to Him, bringing with them those who were lame, crippled, blind, mute, and many others, and they laid them down at His feet; and He healed them.” –Matthew 15:30 (NASB)
While a healing minister can lay hands on individuals in isolated settings, most often they minister healing in a corporate setting. Jesus did the same. There were times when Jesus’ healing Anointing flowed to individuals and other times when it flowed to a crowd. For example, in Matthew 14:36, a multitude came from far and wide to see Jesus, just to have the chance to touch His robe (His Anointing), “and all who touched Him were healed.”
What is different about a corporate anointing, versus the individual laying on of hands? God chooses to minister healing to people in a variety of ways. In a corporate setting, those whose faith is not fully developed in the area of healing can receive healing on the faith of others because of that atmosphere of faith. We see evidence of this in Matthew 15 when large crowds came to Jesus with their loved ones who needed healing. They believed what they had heard and were expecting to see miracles. Their faith gave Jesus’ Anointing room to work.
You see, when you believe for healing—not just for yourself, but for others—you set the table for healing with your faith. Corporate faith coming together creates a powerful atmosphere. Kenneth Hagin said this about coming together for healing: “The greatest anointing of all is the corporate anointing. I can be anointed to minister to the sick and lay hands on people, and a certain percentage of them will get healed through faith and the anointing. But the corporate anointing has a greater, more far-reaching effect.”
On the other hand, if a healing minister visits a church where the people are filled with doubt and unbelief, that anointing will be stifled. This was true in Jesus’ day, too. We know that there were times when Jesus could not heal due to the unbelief of the crowd (Matthew 13:58). He had faith, He was Anointed to heal, but unbelief stopped the flow of the healing anointing.
Just as the faith of a crowd can empower the healing anointing, unbelief can quench it. So when you attend a healing meeting, or when you’re just attending a church service, determine to show up filled with faith. Make a faith contribution to every atmosphere you’re part of, and perhaps your faith will be just what someone else needs to receive their healing.
Watch as Billy Burke ministers healing to a crowd of faith-filled believers.
5. Receive Your Healing by Ministering Healing to Others With the Anointing
“They will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” –Mark 16:18 (NKJV)
One of the most powerful ways to act on your faith for healing is to minister healing to others with the anointing. Some people have the gift of healing—a special anointing—but according to Mark 16:18, every believer has the power and authority to lay hands on the sick and see them recover.
Jesus will heal anything, anyone, anywhere, anytime, if someone will just exercise faith in God. Build your faith so that you will have boldness to lay hands on the sick. And don’t look for immediate results—stand firm in your faith. Healing always comes. Not everyone gets healed, because not everyone will receive it. But when you release your faith—the healing power of God is always released for the taking.
God is ready for unusual miracles, creative miracles, to be seen and believed. There’s nothing too hard for God—not even an incurable disease in its final stages (Luke 5:12-13). And know this: Standing and believing for the healing of others might just be the door that opens to your own healing.
God has given us so many ways to receive healing through the anointing when we allow ourselves to be manifest-minded—not just through healing ministers, but through His Word, through the power of gathering our faith together, and even by allowing us the honor and privilege of laying hands on others. Healing isn’t an impossible puzzle! So, whatever you do, don’t settle for anything less than divine health all your days. Not even the slightest headache should ever be tolerated in your life. Healing belongs to you!
Faith-filled words dominate the laws of sin and death and activate God’s covenant-enforcing angels. The angels of The Lord hear words spoken in faith and respond accordingly. Not only do they excel in strength but they also do His commandments. They do what God has told them to do, “obey [ing] the voice of His word” (Psalm 103:20).
When you confess and stand on God’s Word as final authority over every area of your life– spirit, soul, body, financially, and socially– it puts you in a place to receive. Jesus, the High Priest of your confession, sees to it that His angels go to work on your behalf, bringing your confession of faith to pass. Hebrews 1:14 (AMPCE) says of the angels of the Lord: “Are not the angels all ministering spirits (servants) sent out in the service [of God for assistance] of those who are to inherit salvation?”
Jesus compares the workings of the kingdom of God to planting seeds in the earth: “When the seed is sown,” He said, “it grows up….” Notice He didn’t say that it would occasionally grow up. Or it grows up if it’s God’s will. He said , “It grows up and becomes greater,” period.
God’s economy isn’t like our economy — up one day and down the other. It’s always the same and always works perfectly. If the requirements of good earth, good seed, and good water are met, there will always be growth. It’s inevitable.
So if you are facing a need, don’t panic. Plant a seed! The seed may take the form of money, time, or some other resource you have to give. But no matter what form it takes, make sure you put life in it by giving it in faith and surrounding it with praise and worship. Say, “Lord, as I bring you my goods, I bring myself. I give myself to You — spirit, soul, and body.”
The power to create comes from God’s inner being. His dynamic, living, self energizing, creative force of faith is released with His Words. In Genesis 1 alone, 10 times the Scriptures tell us “God said,” as He released His faith to create day and night, the firmament, dry land, plants and trees, the stars and planets, etc. Hebrews 11:3 says, “By faith we understand that the universe was framed by the Word of God, so that things that are seen were not made out of things which are visible.”
Man was created the same way, God formed him from the dust of the ground “and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living being” (Genesis 2:7). Notice, it says, “God said, ‘let us make man in our image, after our likeness…'” (Genesis 1:26). Just as He had spoken to create everything else, God spoke man into existence with His Words, essentially saying “Man, be in our image.” The “breath of life” was contained in the words spoken into Adam.
Jesus said, “It is the Spirit who gives life. The flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit and are life” (John 6:63). And Proverbs 4 says, “My son, attend to my words… for they are life to those who find out, and health to all their body (verses 20, 22).
4 Ways to Make Deposits Into Your Heavenly Account
Have you been trying to make withdrawals from an empty account? Find out how to fill up your reserves in your heavenly account!
What would happen if you went to the bank and tried to make a withdrawal without making a deposit first? A lot of things could happen, but ultimately, you’d walk out empty-handed, that’s for sure!
Your heavenly account is the same.
What is your heavenly account? It’s what is stored up for you in the spirit realm—to be disbursed in the physical realm—according to your obedience to the Word of God in your finances. Luke 6:38 explains it this way: “Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you” (NKJV).
But don’t stop there.
If you are giving to get, you’re doing it wrong. If you give to God with a grateful and cheerful heart, without trusting in riches, and free from greed or covetousness, the outcome will be financial blessing—that’s just spiritual law.
First, it’s essential to learn how to make the proper deposits into your heavenly bank account, so you can withdraw from it when needed. Once you realize you have finances on deposit, it will become easy to believe God for them.
You can learn how to operate your heavenly account in the same way you do at the bank on the corner. Here are four ways to make deposits into your heavenly account.
“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse.” –Malachi 3:10 (NIV)
Only 3% of Christians tithe regularly according to nonprofitsource.com, and unless that includes only those who give a full 10% of their income (the true definition of tithing), that number could be even lower. Aside from this statistic exposing a lack of faith and honor to God, imagine what we could accomplish if every Christian obeyed God and became a faithful tither!
If you’re a tither, you may look around and notice that you don’t face the same challenges as your nontithing counterparts. Your possessions don’t wear out as fast, and your income seems to stretch and stretch. It doesn’t mean life is perfect all the time, but no matter which way you slice it, there is financial favor on tithers.
That’s because tithing makes deposits into your heavenly account.
Now, before you come up with any arguments in your mind, consider this:
As you give to honor and worship God, spiritual law happens to bring a blessing with it.
Malachi 3:10-11 tells us the result of tithing—open windows of heaven and the devourer rebuked.
As with anything in the spirit realm, the heart is the gauge you always check. When it comes to tithing, your check-engine light should come on if you say any of the following:
“I tried that, and it didn’t work.” (You don’t “try” tithing. If you’re giving your tithe with the right heart, you won’t be looking for what you’re going to get in return.)
“How much do I really have to give? Do I tithe on gross or net? Do I tithe on gifts?” (If you are asking in order to find out the bare minimum of giving, your motives for tithing need to be evaluated.)
THE BLESSING of God is received by faith in His Word. It does not come automatically, just as salvation does not come automatically. You could say, “Well, go to church, and God will save you one of these days if you’re lucky!” No, the laws governing salvation must be acted on for them to work in your life. Prosperity comes the same way.
When you tithe, you are laying the foundation for financial success and abundance. You are establishing deposits with God that can be used when you need them.
Don’t wait until your back is against the wall before you use your faith in this area. Learn to act on the Word now, and when Satan tries to pin you against the wall, you can smile and know that you have it made. His power over you financially has been stopped!
2. Investing in the Gospel
“Everyone who has given up house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or property, for my sake and for the Good News, will receive now in return a hundred times.” –Mark 10:29-30
Just like tithing, investing in the gospel is a command! Mark 16:15 tells us that we are to go into all the world and preach the gospel to everyone. We are all called to this—even if it means contributing financially to send someone else. The salvation of men is God’s No. 1 priority, which means it should be ours, too!
Every time you financially support a missionary or a ministry whose focus is spreading the gospel, you are making a deposit into your heavenly account. Another area where you can invest in the gospel is in supporting ministries that are assigned the job of teaching God’s people how to function in spiritual affairs.
Teaching ministries have a great responsibility placed on them by God, and the return for supporting these ministries is the same as mentioned in Mark 10:29-30—a hundred times. When? The Bible says “Now.”
Any investment expert will be quick to tell you that the most productive form of investing is a steady, regular investment into solid business. There is nothing more solid than God’s work! Begin to be a regular investor. Be faithful to it.
Every man who invests into the gospel has a right to expect the staggering return of one hundredfold.
“He who has pity on the poor lends to the Lord, and He will pay back what he has given.” –Proverbs 19:17 (NKJV)
When you give to the poor, you can expect back what you gave. You can’t give away your money by giving to the poor. You are actually lending to the Lord, and He will repay you. He considers it a loan, and since He teaches us to not owe money, He won’t owe money either. As soon as you lend it to Him, He will pay it back.
Satan has dominated people with poverty. When you realize that Satan is behind their oppression, you will see their need for the power of God in their lives. And you can bring that power to them through meeting their material needs. That’s the heart of the Father!
Whenever Jesus was in the midst of people, He always met needs first before He preached to them. He would heal the sick and feed the hungry. He knew those things would speak louder than words, then open their hearts to receive from Him.
Whenever you give to the poor, explain what the Word says and tell them about Jesus. Let them know that God is your Source of supply and is willing to be theirs. Show them that they, too, can become God’s channel in the earth to someone else. If you give to the poor in the proper way, then you can witness to them and introduce them to the power of God.
Giving to the poor makes a deposit into your heavenly account. It keeps you close to the heart of God, and it positions you for a reward! Matthew 6:3-4 says, “But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly” (NKJV).
Giving—with the right heart and for the right reasons—will yield a return whether the giver even realizes it or not!
Watch Kenneth Copeland teach you how to access your heavenly grant!
4. Giving as a Praise to God
“…a sweet-smelling sacrifice that is acceptable and pleasing to God.” –Philippians 4:18
Another way to deposit into your heavenly account is through what many call, a “praise offering.” Any time we give, it should be in honor and praise toward God. But giving as a praise to God is a gift that is over and above our 10%, given with the sole purpose of worshipping and thanking our Father for who He is, His protection, provision, love and kindness.
When you start giving this way, just as a praise to God, things will begin to happen in your financial life. Praise is a tremendous tool in releasing the power of God. Combined with the law of giving, it is unbeatable! There is no standard return on giving as a praise to God, and it took David from being a sheepherder to becoming the king of Israel.
Do you think God loves poverty? Read a literal Hebrew translation of The Amplified Bible and see the vast amount of money David put into the building the Temple. It was millions of dollars! David was a prosperous man. The Bible says he was a man after God’s own heart. Where do you suppose he got all his wealth? From the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, of course, who gave him the power to get wealth.
Just as Israel made sacrificial offerings of praise to God, believers today can use giving as an instrument of praise. It is interesting to note that Israel never gave a blemished animal as a sacrifice. In today’s terms, that would mean we should never give away worn-out goods. Give your good things, and you will never lack good things.
Years ago, an evangelist came to Brother Copeland and said, “I don’t understand it, but my income has completely stopped. I haven’t had a dime come in for weeks!” Since Brother Copeland had just preached that morning on Luke 6:38, he told him that the key was giving and that he should give whatever he had; if not money, then something else.
He went home and gathered up all his clothes (except one suit, one sport coat and one pair of slacks), passed them out to the men at the unemployment office, and preached the Word to them. When he came to the meeting that night, he was beaming. He had given as a praise to God and was really high because of it!
Well, before the service was over, people had handed him nearly $200 in cash! No one in that service said anything about what he had done; he was merely seated in the congregation. The people sought him out and gave to him as God directed them. A praise offering—when done with a pure heart—will always yield a return!

The Word says God inhabits the praises of His people (Psalm 22:3) and that He will maintain our right and our cause when we praise Him (Psalm 9:1-4). Look for an opportunity to give Him a praise offering for a specific reason. In doing so, you not only worship and honor Him, but you make a deposit into your heavenly account that no one can take from you.
When you make deposits to your heavenly account in these four ways, you will have everything you need in abundance. Trusting God with your money and embracing a spirit of generosity will bring you into closer fellowship with the Father. After all, He is the greatest Giver of all time.
