Eternal Life

Revelation 21:10-27

We long for that eternal day when all are holy, all are good, all are washed in Jesus’ blood. But guilty, unrenewed sinners cannot come there. There is no sickness in heaven. There is no death in heaven. They have never had a funeral in that land. They have never known what it means to ring the death toll or to have drum muffled. Never once has anyone died there. There is no death there, no sickness, no sorrow. Will you go there?

Are you getting ready for it? God’s Son became the Bread of Life, and as we eat of this Bread, we live forever.

Rejoice

Revelation 12:11

When you received Jesus as your Savior and LORD, you became a marked person in the world of the spirit — covered with the seal of the covenant blood that blotted out the hand writing of the ordinances that was against you that was nailed to His cross. His sacrificial death and resurrection made the way for you to be eternally free from the effects of sin and death and the curse of the law (Colossians 2:14). Believe the hesed-agape Love that God has for you. It’s already been released in the blood of Jesus. Think about Jesus’ body and blood that enabled you to be a blood-covenant member of His family (2 Corinthians 6:18).

Rejoice in His goodness and let His sacrifice settle for ever the question of His unconditional love for you. You’ll never again have to doubt His promises once you believe in His great love. Everything you could ever need and every promise you could ever face has been covered by the blood of Jesus. His exceeding great and precious promises have supplied it all.

For God So Loved

Psalm 91:1

The shelter, or secret place, of the Most High is open to “whoever believes.” God has already done His part. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.”

God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all (1 John 1:5). There is no shadow of turning with Him (James 1:17). The shadow referred to here is the force field of God’s presence. Anyone who comes within shadow distance of God is covered by His power. The force field of the Almighty is unmatched.

He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, and there is no power that is any match for the might, glory, and majesty of the Creator of all.

God’s Words

God’s words are filled with His creative power. They are alive and powerful and sharper than any two-edge sword (Hebrews 4:12).

They will stand forever. He and His Word are one (John 1:1). Not one jot or tittle, not the smallest particle of His WORD, will ever pass away, and all of creation is upheld and holds together by its power (Hebrews 1:3; Colossians 1:17). When the believer takes God’s powerful creative words into his heart, mixes them with faith (Hebrews 4:2), and speaks them with authority, the angels of THE LORD “obey the voice of His word” (Psalm 103:20) and go to work to bring it to pass: God and believers, His covenant partners, working together to bring His will into the earth as it is in heaven (Mark 16:20).

We have been given His capacity to believe and to speak. 2 Corinthians 4:13 says, “We have the same spirit of faith. As it is written, ‘I believed, and therefore I have spoken.’ So we also believe and therefore speak.” We’re made in His image. We have the same capacity for the God kind of faith.
